There are many ways to volunteer your time at Peace Lutheran. Some of our latest opportunities include:

Sunday School Teacher

               Position Summary: Share the stories and lessons of the Bible with Peace Lutheran’s young minds.

              Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Share the teaching responsibilities with a team of 2-3 other Sunday School teachers
  • Create a rotating teaching schedule that will be based on individual’s availability.
  • Gather needed supplies for a Spark curriculum lesson that will correspond with the week’s preaching text (lessons will be provided).
  • Teach the same 20 minute lesson; once with younger learners and again with older learners (pre K – 5th grade).

Service Project Coordinator

               Position Summary: Coordinate family-friendly outreach opportunities that inspire the spirit of God through giving and serving.

               Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize 2-4 service projects within Peace or in cooperation with local/global community groups.
  • Work with the Children, Youth and Family Committee to brainstorm, schedule, and carry out projects.
  • Attend Children, Youth and Family Committee meetings based on planning needs.

Bulletin Board Caretaker

               Position Summary: Use your creative energy to update and share the exciting work that God is doing with our Children, Youth and Families.

               Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Print updated photos on a monthly or bi monthly basis.
  • Display posters, flyers, and projects in a fun and inventive way.
  • Communicate regularly with Children, Youth and Family committee on ideas and needs.

 Children’s Music Helper

               Position Summary: Use your abilities at PLAY and FUN to help the Peace Kids learn music!

               Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be in the music room with Ms. Stefanie on Sundays (10-11am) or Wednesdays (6-7:30pm).
  • Help with set-up and/or clean-up.
  • Help manage ‘kid needs’ during music time.
  • Participate in the activities and games that the kids are doing, by singing and playing!
