Let us prayerfully commit to the Built of Living Stones

General and Debt Service Fund Appeal.

"Come to him, a living stone, though rejected by mortals yet chosen and precious in God’s sight, and like living stones, let yourself be built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."

First Peter 2:4-5

Prayerfully consider the two pledges to this campaign: One is to our General Fund for the ongoing mission and ministry here at Peace Lutheran in 2012. The second pledge will be to our Debt Service Fund for 2012 - 2014.

2012 General Fund: The Council’s goal is to move mortgage payments from the General Fund to a separate Debt Service Fund. If members and friends of Peace maintain or increase their current pledges and gifts to the General Fund and commit their support to the Debt Service Fund, we would have sufficient funds for ministries and mission while still funding our mortgage and capital needs.

2012-2014 Debt Service Fund: Our goal for the Debt Service Fund is to receive gifts and pledges over the next three-years (2012-2014) totaling $500,000 or more. Such a goal achievement will enable us to:

	Service our mortgage with payments totaling $460,000 over three years.
	Reduce our debt principal and raise additional funds for capital improvements.
	And, most importantly, free our General Budget for expanded ministries like a Youth Intern from Luther Seminary, a part-time Volunteer Coordinator, needed building and grounds repairs and upkeep, and increased support for local and global missions.
